Don brings over 28 years of executive level financial professional experience in finance, real estate, banking, operational management, and law.  Don’s executive roles at large national companies and entrepreneurial start-up ventures include Founder, President, CFO, COO, and Senior Vice President.  For the past 15 years Don has been a financial executive working directly with owners, private equity investors, and board members.

As founder of a consulting firm providing senior level financial and strategic advisory services to emerging and mid-cap companies, Don developed extensive experience in real estate development, homebuilding, and the emerging build to rent industry.  Don provides strategic vision and leadership to business owners and their executive team guiding the financial and operational functions into a cohesive unit to yield maximum profitability.

Don’s has demonstrated success across a wide variety of businesses including the following:

• Founder and COO of a consumer financial services company that innovated to create an internet based loan origination and funding program reducing the operational investment requirement by 90%.  Grew the company to 5 offices.
• Founder and CFO of an award winning, fully integrated, real estate development firm including development, general contracting, property management, and sales.  Generated $20MM in annual sales.
• CFO of a multi-family development firm increasing the asset portfolio by 50% to 3,000 units with an aggregate value in excess of $300MM.
• Senior Vice President of Wells Fargo (formerly First Union National Bank) responsible for the underwriting, structure, negotiation, and management of $2.5 billion of transactions to national and regional real estate clients.  Led several steering committees whose policy improvements were approved by executive management.

Don earned a BA in Finance with honors from the University of Illinois and a J. D. in Law from Boston University.
